This is Winter?

I have to say that just after I finished this page of my adorble little girl playing outside, we finally got snow.  It was definatley time and we were FINALLY able to go skiing as a family with some great snow.  Don't misunderstand... I absolutely loved playing with my kiddos in the sunshine this time of year.  But, I absolutley LOVE living where you get to experience each season and all that it has to offer.  I
I had so much fun making this page.  I got to use some products that I have been hoarding forever, like the bright pink butterfly laser cut paper from American Crafts that I cut apart and used strategically on my page and the yellow Fabrips from Studio Calico that I folded and layered with other papers beneath the photos.  Of course I stitched in a few places and added my journaling and fun embellishments through out the page.  Right now (like a lot of other people I'm sure!) I love adding flag banners to my pages.  I also love how fun it is to cut and fold pieces of paper and make them mimic ribbon and fabric. This is such a great way to use scraps and add details to cards and pages that is super fast easy.
I hope you are having a great day and get to create a little!

Mat Sets and thoughts...

I spent some time today searching through my mat sets that I have created and sold over the past year and I wanted to share.  When asked how I seem to stay busy as a stay at home mom, I often laugh inside because my three kiddos keep me running like a crazy woman.  A better question would be, what do you do to stay sane?  My reply would be scrapbooking.  Anyone who knows me knows that this is my passion.  "Me" time is when kiddos go to sleep and my sweetheart isn't too far away and I get to create.  It doesn't seem to  matter if it is for me or someone else.  I love the paper and the embellishments... the way colors, patterns, and textures work together to make something completely unexpected, but so fun and unique.  I love completing projects and seeing my children's faces when its a page about them.  I love handing an album I've finished to the person who ordered it from me, and the surprise  and excitement I see on their face.  It makes me happy.  Plain and simple that is why I scrap... for myself and others.  It makes me HAPPY!

Happy Little Man Mini Flip Album

I've been meaning to share this album for a little while, but Christmas got the best of me. I special made this album for a woman here in town as a baby gift for her new grandson. I loved working with all the fun bright colors that the soon to be mom had picked out. Like all my other mini albums, I had a ball making it... I hope you enjoy it too and get some fun ideas to use.

Some of my FAVORITE 12 x 12 Scrapbook Layouts

Just wanted to share some of my favorite scarpbook pages that I haven't shared yet. I hope you like them and get some fun ideas for your pages.

Thanks for stopping by.... have a great day!

happy times

I finished my mini album from the September kit "Midnight Splendor" from Horseshoes & Honeysuckle Scrapbook Company. I had so much fun and was so excited to have everything at my fingertips and ready to go when the opportunity presented itself to create. I was so happy with the results. This album felt so good to make... with the snow flying I really wanted to get some of our favorite pics from the summer together. My happy times mini album was the result. Let me know what you think!
